AgQuip 2025 to feature tractor showdown and latest agtech

Australia’s leading field days to run from August 19 to 21

AgQuip 2025 is set to return next week to its Gunnedah site, bringing back plenty of well-loved features as well as introducing new attractions to keep visitors engaged and entertained.

This year, a new Tractor Games will see major brands Case IH, New Holland and John Deere compete in daily head-to-head tractor challenges.

Running every day of the field days, the new attraction will see machines put through events such as hay-bale lawn bowls, ten-pin bowling and goal-kicking. Three competitions are scheduled each day, with in-cab cameras providing spectators a driver’s-eye view.

Guest operators will include New Zealand Tractor and Machinery Association president, Jaiden Drought, The Land editor, Samantha Townsend, and agricultural journalist, Harrison Hunkin.

Some of the tractors visitors can expect to see in action at the Games include New Holland’s T4, TT4 and T6 tractors and John Deere’s 6M tractor.

The 2025 event will also feature an expanded GRDC Alley, with 12 exhibitors hosting talks and demonstrations on precision agriculture, and the new Local to the Plains precinct, showcasing products and services from Gunnedah region makers and community groups.

ACM Rural Events general manager, Craig Chapman, said the Local to the Plains area would connect visitors with the region.

“From locally made products to connections with sports and community clubs, we hope to establish Local to the Plains as a key feature of AgQuip for years to come.”

Organisers expect more than 800 exhibitors representing 2500 brands and over 3000 products across farm machinery, agtech and services.

Visitors can plan their day using the “Map Your Show” online planner.
