One of the world’s largest agricultural trade fairs, Agritechnica, will not go ahead as originally planned in November 2021, but will instead be held from February 27 to March 5, 2022.
The event, held every two years at the Hannover Fairground in Germany, has been postponed by event organisers following ongoing uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccination rollout in Germany and around the world.
“Such a hub of great significance to the entire international agricultural community needs certainty in long-term planning, for exhibitors and visitors alike,” said Agritechnica project manager, Freya von Czettritz.
“However, due to the vaccination program that has not yet successfully been rolled out, especially in Germany, this certainty does not currently exist.”
With the four-month postponement, it is hoped that exhibitors and visitors will have more time and certainty required to plan their journey and attendance at the fair, she added.
“Next February, we will once again be able to offer you the platform for innovations and business that makes us stand out as the world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery,” she said.
“You can look forward to an attractive exhibition program, a top-class technical program on all aspects of agricultural technology and crop production, as well as additional information and networking opportunities at ‘AGRITECHNICA digital’ and plenty of agricultural technology to get your hands on.”
