Agritechnica Australia will make its debut at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from July 21 to 23, 2027.
The event will be run by German Agricultural Society DLG through its DLG Markets division, in partnership with Hannover Fairs Australia (HFA), and will cover agricultural machinery, agtech and modern crop production systems for Australian broadacre farming.
Agritechnica is held every two years in Hanover, Germany. It is the world’s largest agricultural machinery trade fair, attracting more than 2800 exhibitors and over 470,000 visitors.
The Australian event builds on FutureAg powered by Agritechnica, which DLG and Hannover Fairs Australia launched together in 2023.

Jens Kremer, Managing Director of DLG Markets GmbH, described the launch as the next strategic step in the brand’s international development. “Australia is an important and highly innovative agricultural market,” he said.
The organisers cited large-scale farming operations, strong productivity requirements and challenging climatic conditions as factors driving demand for new technology in Australia.
The exhibition will run alongside a technical program designed for Australian growers and agribusiness professionals. It will focus on:
International exhibitors and country pavilions are expected to bring overseas technology to the Australian market. Local companies will in turn gain exposure to the international Agritechnica network.
Two main stages will host Australian and international speakers from farming, research and industry. A dedicated Tech Demo Stage will feature practical demonstrations of agtech and digital solutions.

The DLG Agrileaders program will bring selected leading farmers, buyers and agribusiness decision-makers from Australia and New Zealand to the event.
Lola Rauch, Show Director Agritechnica Australia at DLG, said the event would link international technology and expertise with the specific needs of Australian farming. She added that it would also give Australian innovation greater international visibility.
Agritechnica Australia is being developed with several Australian agricultural organisations, including:
Tim Bostridge, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs Australia, said the event would bring together farmers, technology providers, industry bodies and international expertise in Melbourne. He described it as a focused platform for business and collaboration across the sector.
