AMAZONE has announced the launch of its Cenio range of cultivators that will be come in working widths of 3, 3.5 and 4m.
CLAAS Harvest Centre Head of Product – Australia, Paul Birbeck, said the new models are lightweight but pack a punch.
“The Cenio cultivators can operate at working depths from five to 25cm, making them suitable for everything from shallow cultivation right through to deep tillage,” he said.

“Each model features three rows of tines set on 30cm spacings to prevent blockages, even in heavy residue.
“The leg shape also produces an excellent mixing behaviour, which means that any harvest residues are optimally mixed into the soil.
“The special shape of the leg gently lifts the ground at the point and does not switch to a steep angle of attack until the guide plate area is reached.”
The AMAZONE Cenio can be equipped with the same ‘Special’ or ‘Super’ tines found on the larger Cenius series.
“The ‘Special’ configuration has a shear bolt overload safety protection, while the ‘Super’ has a compression spring instead,” Birbeck said.
“Both systems ensure that the working depth is always maintained, even under dry and harsh conditions.”

The C-Mix Clip quick-change system enables cultivator shares to be quickly replaced or changed to best match operating conditions.
The 350mm C-Mix wing share is ideal for shallow cultivating stubbles, while the 80mm C-Mix share is ideal for deeper cultivation to 25cm, AMAZONE said.
The working depth of the tines can be adjusted mechanically on the machine or hydraulically from the tractor cab.
“Cenio can be equipped with an adjustable levelling unit whose spring tines creates a uniform ground surface,” Birbeck said.
“Alternatively, the levelling unit can be fitted with 410mm serrated concave discs to process heavy stubble.
“The discs are equipped with maintenance-free bearings, eliminating the need for complex maintenance work involving having to climb into the machine.”

The Cenio cultivators can be equipped with 10 different roller types for reconsolidation, AMAZONE added.
“The quick-change system means the roller can be decoupled altogether or replaced with a different roller to best suit the prevailing soil type,” Birbeck said.
In addition, the Cenio models can be equipped with AMAZONE’s GreenDrill 200 seeder box for one-pass cultivation and sowing.
CLAAS Harvest Centre said the AMAZONE Cenio range will be available from early 2021 through its network of dealerships as well as selected dealers.
