German ag-implement manufacturer, AMAZONE, has opened a state-of-the-art testing facility at its Hasbergen-Gaste headquarters in Germany, which will be used to assemble, commission and test prototypes and functional models of new spreading, spraying, sowing and cultivation technology.
The 2400 square-metre construction and testing hall features a 60-tonne base plate that will allow for endurance testing of large agricultural machinery, as well as a 60m boom test bench that will be used to test spraying technology indoors.
An additional 600 square-metres is dedicated to electronics laboratories and office space.
AMAZONE says it invests more than five per cent of its turnover in research and development every year.
In Australia and New Zealand, AMAZONE farm machinery is distributed by the CLAAS Harvest Centre network.
