Bargam Grimpeur and Grimac SP sprayers touchdown in Oz

New veggie sprayers make debut at FarmFest field days

In response to demand from local vegetable growers for better quality sprayers, Croplands has introduced two new self-propelled sprayer models to the Australian market catering to row crops small and large.

The Bargam Grimpeur 4000-litre and Bargam Grimac sprayers made their debut at the Farmfest field days in Toowoomba, which is running from June 4 to 6.

The Bargam brand hails from Italy and is known for its range of quality agricultural machinery. Croplands is the exclusive distributor for the Bargam range in Australia.

The Grimpeur is known as the ‘Mountain Climber’ in Italy and is a mechanical drive unit that boasts several wheel track, boom and tank size options.

Croplands will be offering the 4000-litre tank option in Australia and New Zealand.

The Grimpeur 4000 model is powered by a 6-cylinder engine offering 205hp and comes with a cruise control function for ease of operation.

Other features include an eco-mode for lower fuel consumption, a ground clearance of 700mm, a cab that fits two people, and oil bath disc brakes on front and rear differential. The machine also offers a wide variety of optional features which customers can choose from to custom build a machine that suits their needs.

The Grimpeur is available with boom widths of up to 36m.

The Grimac, on the other hand, is ideal for larger row crops due to its two to 3m hydraulic adjustable axle and hydrostatic drive.

It has a hydrostatic transmission that transfers 175hp of power to the ground and offers speeds of up to 42km/h.

It has a ground clearance of 1500mm and offers several tank size options including 3000, 3500 and 4000 litres. Boom widths of up to 36m are available with the Grimac sprayer.

Airbag suspension booms are an option in the new range that Croplands said offer better coverage in all crop types.

The new units will also make their way to the AgQuip field days in Gunnedah in mid- August, for those who won’t be at Farmfest to check out the sprayers for themselves.
