BOSS Engineering acquires Calibre Spraying

Australian agriculture and automotive aftermarket manufacturer, BOSS Engineering, has announced its acquisition of Calibre Spraying, which specialises in trailed boom sprayers and precision application solutions.

The acquisition allows Calibre Spraying’s product footprint to expand in Eastern Australia, while BOSS will be able to utilise Calibre’s network in Western Australia to expand its own product line in that part of the country.

Additionally, the acquisition promises an enhanced product offering to both BOSS and Calibre customers, BOSS added.

Daniel Watkins, founder of Calibre Spraying, will continue to lead the spraying business, as well as contributing design and innovation capability to the wider BOSS group.

Founding team member, Scott Morrell, will also stay within the spraying business and contribute to the broader BOSS business across all products.

These have strong appeal for existing BOSS customers and vice versa. 

“In addition, and very importantly, the acquisition also gives BOSS Engineering a foothold in Western Australia to position us closer to growers there as we look to expand our activities in the West.”
