Canadian-based equipment dealer and the world’s largest John Deere dealership group, Brandt Tractor Ltd., will expand its Australian footprint as the newly appointed dealer for John Deere Construction & Forestry in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.
The agreement will see Brandt take over support for customers in these regions from RDO Equipment, marking a significant shift in John Deere’s dealer network strategy in the country.
From August 1, 2025, Brandt will deliver dedicated support, parts, and service to John Deere Construction and Forestry customers in the three states, including key areas throughout Victoria such as Metropolitan Melbourne, Gippsland, Barwon, Southwest Victora and Parts of Northeast Victoria, Hume and Loddon Malee.
The company said customers can expect enhanced uptime, access to a wide range of equipment, and local expertise as part of this transition.
“Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania are some of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, with significant investment in infrastructure and commercial development,” said Brandt’s CEO and Owner, Shaun Semple.
“We know that customers across these states demand a high level of service from their equipment dealers, and we’re ready to invest in our operations to meet those needs.”
This latest move strengthens Brandt’s growing presence in the Australian heavy equipment market, following its acquisition of the Cervus Equipment dealerships in 2021. Since then, Brandt has rapidly invested in its network of agriculture, golf and compact construction equipment dealerships, growing their teams, putting more parts on the shelf and more technicians on the road.
“We are excited to get to know the hard-working contractors across the area,” Semple said.
“As we hear your needs, we will work hard and invest in our operations so we can earn your business for many years to come.”
