Branson pumps out new 30hp workhorse

Features a hydrostatic transmission and ideal for tight work in vineyards, orchards and lifestyle properties

Following successful stints in the US and European markets, Branson’s 3100H tractor model has finally touched down on Australian soil.

According to local Branson distributor, Midway Sales, the increased engine performance and hydrostatic transmission on the new sub compact rig is what made it so well received among customers.

“This style of tractor is ideal for tight work in vineyards, orchards and lifestyle properties yet grunty enough to tackle some of those bigger jobs with a very capable 4-in-1 front end loader,” says Midway Sales’ Scott Spring-Brown.

“The manoeuvrability comes from the legendary Branson turning circle”.

The 30hp tractor shares the traits of the larger models in Branson’s range, such as a cast iron rear end and transmission housing for optimum ballast and maximum traction, something only seen in premium tractors on the market, Midway Sales says.

The 3100H also features a 4-wheel drive front axle and a dual power direction, hydrostatic steering cylinder instead of a steering drag link. According to Midway Sales, this enables tighter turns, lower steering effort and more uniform front tyre wear.

The front end loader features single joystick operation, 4-in-1 bucket and self-levelling functionality with a lift capacity of 265kg, allowing operators to carry out a range of tasks including blading, levelling, grabbing and scooping.

The operator deck is easy to get on and off, while a high back and wide suspension operator’s seat provides excellent comfort, Midway Sales adds. Wet disc brakes come standard on Branson tractors for safe and reliable braking control.

Under the bonnet is Branson’s own eco-friendly engine built for quiet operation and low fuel consumption.

Branson designs and builds its own engines for its tractors.

“The ‘long stroke’ design produces maximum torque at a lower operating speed to pull you through tough spots that many other engines won't,” Spring-Brown says.

A high capacity hydraulic pump delivering 31l/min of flow provides great performance for hydraulic implements such as front-end loaders. Dual hydraulic remotes are a standard feature.

The PTO features two-speed rear (540/960rpm) and one-speed mid (2500rpm). The Category I hitch has a lift capacity of 680kg at the ball end.

To ensure a longer machine life, Branson has installed a strong protection bar on the front of the tractor to protect the bonnet and engine. The mudguards and bonnet are made from powder-coated steel.
