Case IH announces most powerful combine

With power up to 775hp and capacity of up to 20,000 litres, the AF series is set to take harvesting productivity to the next level

Case IH released its revolutionary Axial-Flow combine technology in 1977, and now it is set to raise the bar again with the completely reimagined AF Series – which is also the biggest combine the brand has ever produced.

The new series will deliver on today's grower’s need for capacity, speed, precision technology, and simplicity to make up for skilled labour shortages and the constant need to deliver more efficient harvests, Case IH said.

“Farmers depend on being able to manage harvest as efficiently as possible and the AF Series takes this to another level,” said Case IH Australia/New Zealand Hay and Harvest Product Manager, Tim Slater.

“The AF series provides a further evolution in the Axial-Flow story. It will offer industry-leading cleaning system capacity and grain tank size, and will also be the most powerful Axial-Flow ever with engines up to 775hp.

“The AF series will be an ideal addition to the Case IH combine range in our market and more than satisfy customer expectations around improved performance and productivity, as well as integrated technology.”

Some of the highlights of the brand-new Case IH AF combine series include:

  • Power up to 775hp, 24 per cent more than previous models
  • Larger grain tank with capacity of up to 20,000litres
  • Longer rotor allowing 50 per cent more separation to process high yielding crops
  • Unload rate of 210l/sec
  • 25 per cent larger fuel tank, to cover more hectares in a day
  • New Cross Flow Plus cleaning system that is 32 per cent larger than previous models.

The AF series’ comes with a suite of integrated technology including the dual Pro 1200 displays, real-time machine automation through AFS Harvest Command and remote diagnostics and fleet logistics through AFS Connect.

“Axial-Flow combines were founded on some very important core principles: simplicity, grain quality, grain savings and crop adaptability. These remain the foundation of this range today, and are further enhanced in our new AF Series,” Slater said.

Details on the commercial release of the AF series will be announced later in the year.
