Case IH has updated its flagship Steiger Quadtrac tractor with a new Heavy-Duty Suspension (HDS) system, aiming to boost comfort, productivity and performance across Australia's demanding farming conditions.
Approaching its 30th anniversary in 2026, the Steiger Quadtrac continues to evolve, with the latest version featuring a suspended undercarriage designed to better absorb rough terrain and reduce operator fatigue. The new design also promises longer track life and improved speed on the road.
According to Case IH, the hydraulically-suspended system allows the undercarriage to better conform to the ground. Other benefits include a six per cent larger footprint to reduce ground pressure, an 11 per cent larger drivewheel and five per cent longer track for extended durability, and an automatic track tension system tied to the tractor’s hydraulics. The setup is available on all models from 475 to 715 horsepower.
The top-spec Quadtrac 715—currently Case IH’s most powerful tractor—also comes with updated comfort and control features. These include programmable buttons, an advanced headland turn system (AccuTurn), up to 428 l/min of oil flow with smart torque hydraulic pump and improved lighting with more than 76,000 lumens of output. It also incorporates Case IH's AccuGuide auto-steering and is compatible with the brand’s new FieldOps™ monitoring app.
Originally launched in 1996, the Steiger Quadtrac has built a reputation for its durability and high performance in Australian conditions. CNH High Horsepower Product Manager for ANZ, Justin Bryant, said the latest version continues that legacy by addressing both operator comfort and productivity.

“The Steiger Quadtrac has been a favourite on Australian farms for almost 30 years, proving its worth in the often challenging conditions our farmers face,” Bryant said. “In 2025, the Quadtrac has been redesigned to enhance the experience for the operator with a smoother ride and increased levels of comfort, and boost the productivity potential of the tractor with increased speed and durability.”
The Steiger Quadtrac 715 was also recently awarded Tractor of the Year in the high-power category at the EIMA agricultural show in Italy, with judges praising its performance, fuel efficiency and reliability.
The refreshed Quadtrac was on display at the recent FarmFest field days near Toowoomba, alongside other new releases in Case IH’s line-up, including the AF9 combine harvester.
