CLAAS CARGOS gets comfortable

CLAAS forage wagon range now available with "Comfort" spec for better useability

Customers wanting to purchase CLAAS' CARGOS 700 range of forage transport wagons will now be able to opt for new "Comfort" variants which come with a range of extra features to improve operator comfort and user-friendliness.

These include in-cabin control, an articulated drawbar, electro-hydraulic steering system, a loading bay cover and an enhanced lighting package. In addition, the models now allow operation from any ISOBUS-compatible terminal as well as via CLAAS' tablet-based EASY app.

Key functions including the hydraulic articulated drawbar can be assigned to the tractor function keys for ease of operation.

A total of four positions can be saved on the terminal, so at the push of a button, the drawbar will automatically move into the required setting and align itself optimally during road transport, chopping, unloading and field operations.

The new electrohydraulic positive steering feature consist of a steering angle sensor on the drawbar that measures the steering angle and activates the axles accordingly. The system operates with dynamic steering line adjustment to provide manoeuvrability and stability in all working conditions.

Drivers can adjust the steering sensitivity using the settings menu or opt to control steering functions manually such as the crab steering function used to minimise ground damage in wet conditions.

The hydraulically-operated loading bay cover with two sections that fold out over the wagon from both sides keeps load secure at all times and ensures safe transport on the road.

The CARGOS 700 Comfort models come with 11 LED lights for comprehensive lighting around all work areas. Operators can save individual lighting settings for specific operations, such as road transport and unloading, which can be activated at the push of a button.

Customers can opt for extension sets with their wagons that can boost capacity by another 2.5 cubic metres on the CARGOS 700 range, which current load capacities range from 36.5 to 48.5 cubic metres.

All models can also be specified with a wide choice of tyres, axle configurations and either mechanical or hydraulic suspension.

A range of tyre sizes from 22.5 to 30.5 inches is available with the new CLAAS CARGOS range. The new models can also be specified with four different tandem or tridem axle configurations to suit a range of maximum loads from 18 to 30 tonnes.

Other options include a self-steering system and two proportioning rollers. Find out more at claas.com.au
