No need to break the bank nabbing yourself a quality utility workhorseMid-range utility tractors are somewhat like the Swiss Army Knives of farm machinery. They are incredibly versatile and can be used for front-end loading, tillage, mowing, spraying and a whole range of farm tasks you can think of.
Plus, they’re still compact enough to sit nicely in the shed after a full day of work. It’s certainly an indispensable tool for a small to mid-size farm or even as a secondary tractor on a broadacre farm for miscellaneous tasks.
We hunted down five tractors for sale with power outputs between 100hp to 200hp that will get the job done yet won’t burn a hole in your wallet. Don’t forget you can write it off on your tax using the government’s Instant Asset Write off scheme for any purchases under $150,000.
2012 New Holland T6030 Elite

This tractor, despite being eight years old and having done over 8000 hours, looks in pristine condition.
It has a power output of 126hp and features a Zuidberg front PTO and linkage.
2002 Case IH MX100 Maxxum

Case IH’s Maxxum range of utility tractors have a solid reputation among farmers as a reliable workhorse that gets the job done.
In 2018, the range even won a Tractor of the Year award for its simplicity and innovative new transmission.
Given, this much earlier model for sale does not feature a lot of the bells and whistles as its modern counterparts but it is nevertheless still a reliable workhorse and comes with a much more affordable price tag for a lot of grunt.

It has a power output of 100hp, an air-conditioned cab, 4-speed power shift transmission, three sets of hydraulic remotes and even a side tool box.

2012 John Deere 6630 Premium

This five-year-old Landini Legend 185 for sale has only done 2427 hours and has recently gone through a full service and had all its filters replaced.
Its generous output of 186hp delivered by a Perkins engine makes it an all-rounder for the farm, with the seller having plumbed it for loader use.
It also features 72 forward and 72 reverse gears (plus creeper gears) and five sets of remotes.
