Davimac has expanded its chaser bin lineup with the launch of the 45T, the largest model in the Australian manufacturer's more than 40-year history and one designed to meet the changing needs of broadacre grain growers.
Manufactured at the company's Molong, NSW facility, the dual-axle 45-tonne chaser bin will be available nationally ahead of this year's harvest, offering increased capacity, hydraulic braking and a standard rear self-steering axle.
According to Davimac Business Development Manager, Chris Beatty, the machine was developed directly from customer feedback.
"The 45T came directly out of what growers were asking for," Beatty said.

"Brakes were a common request, alongside a steering axle on a larger-capacity bin. As far as we're aware, we're the only Australian manufacturer running brakes on a 12-stud axle."
The optional hydraulic braking system is fitted to heavy-duty 12-stud axles, which Davimac says offer greater durability than the 10-stud arrangements commonly used across the industry, while also improving stopping performance when transporting heavy grain loads.
The larger capacity is aimed at keeping pace with modern high-output headers, providing a greater buffer between harvesting and transport to help minimise downtime during harvest.
To help manage the increased size, the 45T features a dual-axle undercarriage with a standard rear self-steering axle, allowing the bin to better follow the tractor through turns while reducing tyre scuffing and ground compaction.
Unloading is handled by a 24-inch auger capable of transferring up to 18 tonnes of grain per minute, helping minimise delays when transferring grain into trucks.

Despite its increased size, Davimac says the 45T retains the construction and features found across its existing range, including a fully welded body, heavy-duty undercarriage, large gearbox and straightforward, low-maintenance design.
The launch does not replace Davimac's existing models, with the 25T, 30T and 35T bins remaining in production.
"Our 30T and 35T bins are very popular because they strike the balance between capacity and ease of handling," Beatty said.
"They have one of the lowest load heights on the market, which helps header drivers avoid collisions and keeps the centre of gravity down for a more stable ride. Operators genuinely value that."
Optional equipment across the range includes load cells with Libra Cart grain monitoring, firefighting units, camera kits, right-hand auger discharge and custom colour matching, with servicing supported through Davimac's nationwide dealer network.
