Deutz-Fahr has announced a new addition to its specialist product stable – the 5115DF TTV that the company said is suitable for vineyard and orchard work.
Unveiled in the scenic Yarra Valley wine region in Victoria late last year, the Deutz-Fahr 5115DF TTV offers several unprecedented features designed to make life easier for producers.
The new model is powered by a four-cylinder FARMotion engine that meets USA Tier 4 interim emissions standards and offers 113hp.
“It’s a much quieter engine and you can run it very economically without revving too hard,” said Deutz-Fahr Tractors product specialist, Gerard Darveniza.
A significant feature of the 5115DF is its high-flow hydraulics which allow producers to run hydraulic implements both at the front and rear.
“This model runs a big hydraulic package which is a 100-litre closed centre,” Darveniza said.
The 5115 DF TTV offers Deutz-Fahr’s dual-range variable transmission with three drive modes: manual, PTO, and auto.
It is capable of reaching a top speed of 40km/h. The MaxCom joystick in the cab allows producers to program anything from speed to hydraulic functions to PTO. A useful cruise control function allows users to save the speeds at which they wish to travel and change between the speeds when required.
The cab is also much quieter and comfortable for operators to ride in, Deutz-Fahr said, thanks to a new design “Hydro Silent-Block” suspension mounts that absorbs up to 40 more vibrations than the previous versions.
The 5115DF TTV has a width of 1650mm that allows it to fit snugly in between vineyard rows.
Another key feature on the 5115DF TTV is the SDD rapid steering system which halves the number of steering wheel turns needed.
“It's great for turning at tight headlands as well as in and out of vineyards,” Darveniza said.
At the rear, there are up to four PTO speeds: 540/540 ECO and 1000/1000 ECO. The front PTO runs at 1,000 rpm.
Pricing for the new Deutz-Fahr 5115DF TTV is around $147,000.
