One of the largest and earliest field days on Victoria’s agricultural show calendar – the Wimmera Machinery Field Days is set to make a return to its purpose built site in Longerenong near Horsham, Victoria next week.
The field days will run from March 5 to 7.
New to this year’s show is the Twilight Ag Expo which will give visitors free entry into the field days site on Tuesday, March 5 from 4pm to 7pm, with live music and entertainment, gourmet food and wine, motocross stunt shows and more for the entire family to enjoy.
The show has a heavy focus on machinery and tech, so visitors can expect to see the latest agricultural machinery and products being exhibited at the show.
A highlight of the show each year is the exhibitor and product awards which include ‘Machine of the Year’ and ‘Agribusiness Innovation of the Year’. A number of site awards will also be handed out to exhibitors who put in a great amount of effort into sprucing up their stands. The awards will be handed out in the afternoon on Wednesday March 6 at the Field Days Square.
For the younger members of the family, there are a variety of programs to keep them entertained, such as George the Farmer performing live on stage, live snake shows, motocross stunt shows and more.
Case IH fans need to visit O’Connor’s stand where a number of new machines will be released, including the Axial-Flow 250 combine featuring all the latest technology. Also on display will be a limited edition Axial-Flow 150 combine painted in International Harvester heritage colours, complete with the traditional white roof and rims and side-panel decals reminiscent of the first Axial-Flow produced over 40 years ago.
Other key attractions include fashion parades, helicopter rides, animal farm and more.
