FutureAg 2025, powered by Agritechnica, has wrapped up after three days at Melbourne Showgrounds, drawing more than 2500 visitors and hosting 138 exhibitors from 11 countries alongside 69 expert speakers.
The event ran from August 6 to 8, 2025 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
For the second edition of FutureAg, Hannover Fairs Australia joined forces with the German Agriculture Society (DLG) to develop and grow the event.
Organisers said the second edition of the event strengthened its position as Australia’s international hub for agricultural machinery and future farming.

Hannover Fairs Managing Director, Tim Bostridge, said the expo “expanded the conversation, strengthened industry connections, and continued to tackle the big issues shaping agriculture today, from technology adoption and sustainability to workforce challenges, policy changes and weather extremes.”
Erik Guttelsröd, Deputy Managing Director of the DLG Competence Center Agriculture, said FutureAg was “a platform where innovations are launched, ideas are tested, and collaboration thrives,” adding that practical solutions come not just from machinery but from real connections between farmers and industry leaders.
For the first time, a Hosted Buyer Program brought together leading Australian farmers and agri-business leaders with exhibitors, visitors and speakers, creating exclusive networking opportunities. This initiative was designed to foster collaboration and ensure producers could connect directly with innovators and suppliers.

Two new feature areas, the AusAgritech Pavilion and Grain Automate Alley, proved popular, highlighting the growing role of agtech startups and automation solutions. These hubs gave visitors the chance to see how local ingenuity is shaping global farming conversations.
Education was also a strong theme, with five leading agricultural universities participating through exhibits and student visits. Organisers said this highlighted the importance of building a skilled workforce to drive the sector forward.

The co-located conference explored topics ranging from innovation and business strategy to workforce challenges, giving attendees practical strategies to take back to their farms and enterprises.
FutureAg 2026 has already been confirmed for July 29 to 31 at Melbourne Showgrounds.
