Goldacres launches 3TS Pro spraying technology

Local sprayer manufacturer Goldacres has unveiled the 3TS Pro system it developed in-house to allow for a consistent and productive spraying operation without the operator having to leave the cabin to change nozzles.

It builds on the company’s tried and tested 3TS (three tiered system) consisting of dual nozzle systems which switches on and off according to the speed at which the sprayer is travelling to offer a consistent droplet size every time.

“Think of 3TS as a three step gearbox,” Goldacres explained.

“Each nozzle type has an operating pressure band for a given droplet size. As the first nozzle reaches the top of the pressure band it switches off and the next larger size nozzle switches on.

“When that nozzle reaches the top of that pressure band the first nozzle will switch on again, effectively giving three operating bands.”

The new and improved system, the 3TS Pro, features an extra nozzle to make it a three-nozzle system that allows for seven nozzle combinations. This system offers many flow rates and speed variations without the operator having to manually change the nozzles, Goldacres said.

“The system allows you to use all styles of nozzles safely, unlike some other systems available,” said Goldacres marketing manager, Stephen Richards.

The 3TS Pro is controlled and monitored via the Raven Control Module (RCM).

“3TS is the best valued system in the industry, but the new 3TS Pro offers greater flexibility for operators who’re constantly changing products and rates,” Richards said.

He added the real plus for users is the 3TS Pro addresses upcoming labeling changes governing the use of the 2,4-D herbicide, allowing farmers to continue using the chemical safely and responsibly.

“The only time you’ll get out of a 3TS Pro equipped sprayer will be to open a gate or refill,” Richards said.

The 3TS Pro is available on Goldacres trailing or self-propelled sprayers with 16 section boom control and Raven controller.
