KUHN's newest and widest disc cultivator, the Optimer XL 12000, made one of its first public appearances at the Henty Machinery Field Days in September this year, and was even entered into the Henty Machine of the Year awards.
Though it didn't win the award, it certainly won plenty of farmers over with its impressive working width and innovative features, according to KUHN.
The Optimer XL 12000 is a heavy duty cultivator designed for stubble cultivation, trash management, soil levelling and destroying green cover crops. It has a working width of 12m and a working depth of up to 15cm.
The implement has five sections, four gauge wheels and a Steady Control system that allow it to follow ground contours with ease and ensure a consistent and homogenous cultivation over the entire field.
