Inlon’s latest slope mower is faster, more efficient and lighter than others in the range, according to the company.
The German–made LT9600 slope mower joins the Spider wheeled slope mower, the Track 40 tracked slope mower as well as a series of mowers, mulchers and brush cutters in Inlon’s Civiline ground care line-up.
“When buying a commercial mower, there’s a balance between speed and versatility because the mower that will clear a level field quickly is not safe or robust enough to manage slopes and heavy vegetation,” said Inlon’s Managing Director, Jim Jardim.

“For slope mowing, safety is paramount so remote control operation is essential.
“Adding new models to the Civiline range means we now offer mowers that maximise productivity for all different applications. This includes level and steep sloping grounds, even and uneven terrain and all types of vegetation from grass to very heavy scrub and saplings.”
Compared to the Track 40 model, the LT9600 is much lighter and faster, and can handle rougher slopes compared to a wheeled mower, Inlon said.
In addition to being able to handle rougher terrain, the LT9600 also causes less ground disturbance compared to heavier tracked mowers. A key feature is its ability to mow in both forward and reverse for extra efficiency.
Civiline’s LT9600 mowers are available in 80cm or 112cm cutting widths with rubber tracks suited to slopes up to 50 degrees.

Like the other slope mowers in the range, the LT9600 is operated via a remote control. It has a low centre of gravity, balanced weight distribution and zero turn circle to mow productively while the operator stands up to 300m away with the remote control in hand. The LT9600 is capable of a top speed of 10km/h.
According to Inlon, the LT9600 is Australia’s first hybrid drive slope mower. It’s powered by a petrol engine that drives both the mower and a generator. The generator produces 48 volts to drive two stepless electric drive motors with each producing 500nm of torque. This results in a highly productive mowing operation.
As there are no hydraulics, gearboxes or complex mechanical drive systems to worry about, most lubricants and grease are eliminated, making it ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas.
Dual jerry can fuel tanks add to the safety and productivity benefits of the machine, Inlon said. The tanks can be removed, replaced and reconnected for fast and safe refuelling. The fuel capacity allows approximately six hours of continuous cutting.

The cutting deck belt drive comes directly from the engine crankshaft output to get maximum cutting power from the 18hp or 24hp engine.
The deck’s two offset spindles ensure cut overlap for a quality finish. Swing back blades minimise impact in tougher conditions, with each of the four sets consisting of a flat cutting blade and a lifting mulch blade.
