JCB tele range now with 2-in-1 transmission

New telescopic handlers combine best of both Hydrostatic and Powershift drive systems for maximum efficiency

JCB has released two new Agri Pro Loadall telehandler models in Australia that feature what the company claims to be Australia's first and only 2-in-1 dual technology transmission (DualTechVT).

The new 531-70 and 541-70 combines both Hydrostatic and Powershift transmissions in one drive system, offering the best of both worlds for the customer.

"The high-speed efficiency and towing ability of a JCB Powershift transmission, combined with the low-speed control advantages of a Hydrostatic drive not only provide operators with the gearboxes in one transmission but also improve cycle times across a wide range of farming applications," says  JCB CEA National Product Manager for telehandlers, Greg Sealey.

He adds the new models are 25 per cent more productive in handling operations, and 16 per cent more efficient when towing on the road, compared to other models on the market.

"The 531-70 and 541-70 boast three different modes for operator convenience, allowing the machine to alter between Flexi Mode, Eco Mode and Power Mode, each tailored to the environment, ranging from high-speed road travel or manoeuvring in tight spaces," Sealey says.

Both telehandler models are also equipped with hydraulic power brakes for improved braking performance and safety, especially when towing a loaded trailer or travelling over uneven terrain.

Operators can change between 2WD and 4WD via a switch on the control panel for effective traction management.

"The 2WD mode increases traction when using on road towing and the 4WD mode offers operators equally matched front and rear axles that reduce tyre wear when working," Sealey says.

The 531-70 and 541-70 Agro Pro Loadalls are fitted with JCB's LiveLink system which offers real-time information on fleet management, maintenance, run hours, and security straight to computers and mobile devices.
