John Deere has beefed up its utility vehicle range to include two new models – the petrol-powered Gator XUV835 and diesel-powered Gator XUV865.
According to John Deere, the models are the first units in the Gator family to have three-wide seating. The full-sized utility vehicles also feature a quiet cab with heating and air conditioning for all day comfort in different weather conditions.
"The new Gator XUV models combine versatility, durability and comfort into a machine that can increase productivity in all types of conditions," says John Deere marketing manager, Mark Davey.
"It's a workhorse that can tackle any job with features designed to save farmers time and energy."
The XUV835 and XUV865 offers power outputs of 54hp and 23hp respectively, and are capable of reaching speeds of over 72 km/h for the XUV835 and over 48 km/h for the XUV865.
Both models feature a large, 41.5-litre fuel tank to keep the vehicles running longer between fill-ups.
Inside the cab, adjustable driver's seat, ample legroom and tilt steering help reduce operator fatigue during long work days in the field.
The cargo box size has been increased to offer up to 60-litres of storage, and the towing capacity is 907kg, allowing producers to haul more in less time.
The XUV835R and XUV865R R trim level includes upgraded attachment-ready wiring to allow quicker installation of roof lights or other electrical attachments. The R models also come standard with brighter, longer lasting LED headlights.
