With John Deere claiming its S700 series combines to be its most advanced yet with plenty of technology in and around the machine to help with harvesting, we figured we needed to check out the machines for ourselves.
We spoke to Cervus Equipment Ballarat's Brett Swan about the latest S770 model and what it offers over the predecessor S600 series.
One of the key features of the S700 combines is the Combine Advisor package, which utilises smart cameras to not only show operators what's in the tailings and clean grain elevators, but also to analyse information to maintain optimal threshing performance based on operator set targets.
Some other improvements include upgraded controls in the cab and better comfort with a swivel seat to reduce operator fatigue. Watch the video as Swan explains the S700 series' points of differences when compared to the S600 units as well as other comparable combine harvesters on the market.
