Krone’s EasyCut 400CRS is now available and in stock for the 2023 season, according to Kubota Australia.
Requiring a minimum horsepower of 100hp, the EasyCut 400CRS comes with eight cutting discs which Krone says offer farmers a cleaner, more even cut due to their unique positioning which increases blade overlap.
“This product has been designed specifically for farmers growing leafy crops like lucerne, alfalfa, native hay or Bermuda grass, it really is a cut above the rest,” said Kubota Australia Product Manager, Ash Swayn.
The EasyCut 400CRS also features a unique M-roll conditioning system consisting of intermeshing steel rolls that Krone said deliver a crimp-and-crush action providing a softer crimp for quicker drying in all conditions and less damage for a better final product.
“This movement provides consistent conditioning through uneven crop volumes. It is especially effective for stiff or heavy stem material and allows yields to dry faster in the field,” Swayn said.
“The rolls are also extremely durable and require minimal maintenance, boosting productivity on the farm.”
The EasyCut 400CRS Front Mower has a working width of 4m and is ideal for farmers or contractors with larger operations who are looking to harvest around six hectares an hour, Krone added.
Suspension springs located in the trailing headstock mean the EasyCut 400CRS can travel freely in the field, while hydraulic cylinders allow the machine to be raised off the ground.
“Another fantastic feature of the EasyCut 400CRS is its ability to navigate a range of terrain,” Swayn said.
“The two-point hitch connection allows the EasyCut 400CRS to conduct tight turns, reducing wear and tear on the PTO shaft and increasing the machine’s durability.
“It also has an immediate float response when encountering an obstacle, again reducing wear and tear.”
