Krone rolls out new baler wrapper
Comprima CV 150 XC Plus baler wrapper features multiple design changes and feature upgradesKrone said its new Comprima CV 150 XC Plus baler wrapper has been designed with stability and convenience top of mind, and complements its VariPack series of belt balers and Fortima range of slat elevator balers.
The CV 150 XC Plus also features a slat elevator design and is an upgrade to the CV 150 XC X-treme baler, said Krone Australia Assistant Product Manager, Nathan Thomas.
“The new baler wrapper has been designed with strong components to successfully combat the most extreme farm conditions,” he said.
“Design changes including new covers, light holders and minor colour changes give the machine a more modern look and run in line with our current range of Comprima balers.”
The rear wrapper design has also been updated and the overall height of the machine reduced, according to Thomas.
A new ultrasound sensor replaces the previous sensor arms to easily identify if the bale is on the wrapping table. A wheel and rubber mat on the bale turner help to provide a better turning process, Thomas said.
“The wrapping table’s deep cradle and big bobbins ensure the bale is consistently rolled during the wrapping cycle in tough conditions,” he said.

Krone’s enclosed onboard hydraulic system, used for all its baler wrapper combination functions, self-regulates and prevents system contamination through its own hydraulic tank, pump, filters and valves to run the machine, the company said.
The Comprima CV 150 XC Plus features a standard tandem axle with large 600/50 R22.5 tyres to give the baler a smooth ride in field or on road. The tandem axle keeps the baler afloat during wet seasons and keeps it stable when baling on a hillside, Krone said.
The new baler wrapper also features a W-Pattern pick up for more even crop flow, as well as a new in-cab electric pressure adjustment system that allows operators to easily adjust bale density from within the cab.
“The new baler wrapper is a high-performance machine that will satisfy the needs of contractors and mid to large size dairy farms,” Thomas said.
