Kubota has announced the arrival of its LM551 gang fairway mower which it said will make light work of golf course maintenance with its excellent ground-following features and customisable design.
"The LM551’s unmatched quality of cut and performance fills a gap in the market for elite golf courses,” said Kubota's Golf and Turf Equipment sales executive, Trent Saunders.
"The forward and backward slide rear cutting function allows the unit to closely follow all undulations and contours, creating optimum playing conditions."
The LM551 joins the LM2400 Lightweight Fairway Mower and LM2700 Mid-Weight Fairway Mower in Baroness's golfing product range.
Two cutting unit options are available on the LM551 to match each golf course's requirements - the LH52 with a 127mm diameter reel or the LH62 with a 163mm diameter reel.
Further customisations are available on the Baroness LM551 including the option of seven or nine blade reels on each cutting unit, as well as the ability to fit it with a groomer, power brush, front roller scraper and newly designed grass boxes.
Powered by a 44.2hp Kubota V1505-T diesel 4-cylinder engine, the LM551 features a cut width of 254cm to cover a greater surface area for further efficiency.
"A mowing height of 6-20mm in the LH52 cutting unit and 8-45mm in the LH62 cutting unit allows the LM551 to be adaptable for all premium playing surfaces," Saunders said.
"The LM551's industry-leading range of motion is a key component to achieving perfectly manicured fairways golf courses."
The LM551 has a tight turning radius of 180cm to allow for cutting around tight corners. A comfortable and ergonomic operating area allows the operator to navigate the fairway with ease and comfort, Kubota said.
The Kubota Baroness LM551 fairway mower is now available in Kubota’s Turf dealerships across Australia.
