Kubota has announced the arrival of its M5-1 ROPS (Roll-over protective structures) series tractors that the company said will offer Australian farmers more horsepower, choices and versatility.
The new line-up, which includes the M5091 and M5111 Standard; and M5091 and M5101 Narrow, complements the M5-1 cabin models released two years ago.
Kubota said the M5-1 ROPS engine technology has been redesigned to give maximum horsepower at the lower engine speed of 2400rpm.
Like its cabin counterparts, the ROPS units feature Kubota’s V3800 CR Tier 4i engine with four cylinders, 3.81-litres displacement, turbocharging, common rail and a particulate filter.
“We’re excited to bring the M5-1 ROPS model to Australia. Its advanced simplicity allows for easy movement and short height increases its practicality,” said Kubota Australia Senior Product Manager for Tractors and Precision Farming, Konstantin Blersch.
“The ROPS model allows the operator to stay in contact with workers around the tractor while remaining seated at all times.
“The higher horsepower at lower speed in the M5-1 ROPS also means greater fuel efficiency and will ensure it gets the operator through a long day of work.”
The M5-1 Standard ROPS transmission features 18 gears for a wide range of work. In the Standard models, six synchronised gears and three ranges cover speeds from slow creep to fast transport work. This also makes it suitable for applications such as low and high-speed tillage.
The M5-1 Narrow’s transmission features dual speed splitters to offer 36 speeds for a multitude of applications in orchards and vineyards.
Kubota’s X46 front loader is ideal for use with the M5-1 Standard ROPS series, with a specific hydraulic kit to suit the models.
The M5-1 Standard ROPS range is now available at Kubota dealerships, while the M5-1 Narrow ROPS models will be arriving in the country from January 2021.
