Kubota Australia has announced the launch of its fastest utility vehicle, the RTV-XG850, which is scheduled to arrive Down Under in November this year.
Kubota Product Manager, Mark Basile, said the XG850 will deliver a new offering to the Australian market and drastically improve the way farmers work.
"The RTV-XG850 is perfectly equipped to handle Australia's rugged landscape,” he said.
"It's been built for speed and versatility with a highly responsive liquid-cooled, twin cylinder petrol engine providing plenty of torque for fast acceleration and take-off to allow farmers to get things done more efficiently.”
The 48hp engine and continuously variable transmission with inertial clutch (CVT Plus) gives the unit a maximum speed of 64km/h.
"The speed-sensitive Electronic Power Steering (EPS) provides exceptional steering control to improve handling and increase stability, even at high speeds, or when carrying heavy loads,” Basile said.
Kubota said the centrifugal clutch on the CVT helps keep the thick, double cogged belt tight for minimal slippage for a fast response and better belt durability. The CVT Plus is fully enclosed to keep out dust and water, but is well ventilated to cool the CVT belt for longevity.
The XG850 features a sturdy steel cargo box with a load capacity of 454kg. Independent front and rear suspension provide a smooth ride with plenty of clearance.
The XG850 comes with a trailer hitch and can tow up to 907kg comfortably, Kubota said. A new line of Kubota attachments and accessories have been developed specifically for the XG850 to cater to every user's needs.
Kubota has also equipped the XG850 with a new ergonomic, sports steering wheel and easy to read LCD display for maximum functionality and comfort.
"We're proud to be able to bring the fast, powerful and durable utility vehicle to Australia,” Basile said.
“The XG850 has performed brilliantly overseas and we’re sure it’s going to deliver in spades.”
