While most new machines nowadays come with a range of bells and whistles and flashy new tech, Kubota’s latest UTV, the RTV520 bucked that trend with its simplicity and straightforward operation.
The new entry-level model features a Kubota petrol engine with 17.4hp which is slightly more powerful than its predecessor.
However, the machine is no noisier than the previous model, with noise levels remaining at 83dBA which is ideal for golf courses, council work or for use around livestock.
Another key upgrade is the suspension, with the five-link rear system increasing rear suspension stroke by 30 per cent and front suspension stroke by 20 per cent, Kubota said. These improvements ensure a smooth and comfortable ride for operators, even in rough terrain.
A Variable Hydrostatic Transmission (VHT) on the model further enhances operator comfort by ensuring smooth acceleration and deceleration without the jerks and jolts that can be encountered in some other machines on the market.
The RTV520 has also received some design upgrades which includes a new front grille and new headlights.
The RTV520 can be customised with a range of accessories such as plastic canopy and windscreen, black front guard, black alloy wheel assemblies and a glove box under the steering wheel to truly make it your own machine.
Load capacity on the RTV520 is rated at 200kg (in the tray) and towing capacity is 530kg via a standard trailer hitch.
Farmmachinerysales.com.au had the opportunity to give this machine a spin late last year and suffice to say, we walked away largely impressed.
With a price point of $15,964 excluding GST, we think this machine represents great value for money for a farm workhorse that is bare bones but is more than capable to get the job done.
The Kubota RTV520 is now available at Kubota dealerships nationwide. Visit kubota.com.au for more information.
