KUHN celebrates 50 years of rotating disc mowers

Grass equipment expert KUHN is giving away a special edition gold and black GMD 310 mower worth $A16,000 as part of the celebrations

In 1967, KUHN launched the first rotating disc mower – the GMD 4 which increased forward working speeds and improved forage flow and quality in the field.

Since then, KUHN has continued to pioneer disc mowers by rolling out the GMD 100 series and 1011 series which features innovative solutions to suit customer demand.

To celebrate half a century of KUHN’s GMD innovation, KUHN will be giving away a special edition GMD 310 disc mower valued at $16,000.  The special edition machine, which features a gold and black paint job and special 50th anniversary decals, was displayed at the Henty and Elmore Field Days recently.

According to KUHN, the GMD 310 has been designed to cope with more intense operations. It features a high performing series 100 cutter bar, suspension spring for accurate ground adaptation, articulated cutting unit to follow ground contours closely and a mechanical safety breakaway that causes the mower to move slightly backward should an obstacle get in the way.

To stand a chance to win the special edition GMD 310 mower, visit kuhn.com.au/kuhncompetitions. The competition will go till April 2018, and the winner will be drawn at KUHN’s site at the Farm World field days next year.
