Landini back on Aussie soil

After a brief hiatus, the specialist tractor brand is once again ready for work in Australia

Italian tractor brand Landini has reappointed NSW-based farm machinery business Inlon as its Australian distributor.

Previously, the brand was imported and managed in Australia by D&D Machinery.

A range of Landini's iconic blue tractors was on display at Inlon's stand at the 2016 Agquip field days.

The last time Inlon housed the Landini brand was 25 years ago, according to Inlon sales and marketing manager Gary Surman.

"We just had a dealer meeting about the relaunching of Landini tractors in Australia two weeks ago, so it's exciting times," he says.

"The Landini brand complements the other product ranges we carry including specialist farm equipment, rotary hoes, power harrows, mulchers, vegetable planting equipment and more, so the range fits what Inlon does as a company."

He adds the Landini name is well known in the specialist and general farming sectors, and is one of few Italian brands on the market that is 100 per cent made in Italy.

"Landini is very strong in the specialist farming market – whether it's orchard, vineyard, vegetable, or sugarcane – with its high-clearance tractors.

"The brand offers a wide range of machines from the general ROPS tractor for cattle farmers to the higher horsepower tractors up to 200hp."

Surman says Inlon will initially be concentrating on tractors with power ranging from 75hp to 125hp, before eventually offering the full range in Australia.

Pricing for Landini's tractors start from $40,000 for a basic utility model with ROPS.
