A CLAAS Arion 460 tractor built entirely from Lego bricks has become the new highlight at France's first museum of agriculture, the Musée du Compa.
The museum is situated in Chartres, approximately 80km from Paris that features world-class exhibitions about the history of agriculture and agricultural engineering.
The mammoth task of constructing the 'TractoBrick' was undertaken by a certified Lego builder, who took more than 3500 hours to complete the structure.
Weighing in at 3.5 tonnes, the tractor is made up of almost 800,000 Lego bricks, including 388 different parts, mounted to a real chassis, wheels and windows.
The project was financed by a number of public and private organisations, including CLAAS, as well as members of the public via crowd funding.
'TractoBrick' has since been given the place of honour in the museum’s machine hall, alongside a dozen genuine tractors.
The Musée du Compa attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year.
'TractoBrick' will be exhibited at the museum as well as CLAAS' headquarters in Harsewinkel, Germany, over the coming months.
