LEMKEN establishes presence Down Under

Award-winning German ag-implement brand to have a more prominent footprint in Australia and New Zealand from 2018

LEMKEN is well known globally for its innovative seeding, cultivation and crop care machinery and customers on this side of the world are about to get access to a larger range of offerings from the brand.

Following LEMKEN's recent venture into the USA and Canada, the company established its 26th international subsidiary in Australia and New Zealand in June 2018 with Robert Wensing at the helm. Wensing previously ran a farm contracting business for several years in Southern NSW and most recently managed a multi-brand ag dealership.

With the establishment of LEMKEN Australia and New Zealand, the company hopes to expand its dealership network in both countries. For two decades, LEMKEN’s range of machinery has been distributed by William Adams in Australia and Norwood Farm Machinery Centre in New Zealand, both of which will remain a crucial part of LEMKEN’s dealership network.

LEMKEN's product range for Australia and New Zealand will continue to focus on soil cultivation machinery and seed drills adapted to local soil conditions, crops and farm sizes, Wensing said.

However, he added there are plans to bring in sprayers which are not previously available in Australia.

Wensing will soon be supported by a service manager to provide technical and service support to dealers and farmers across the region.
