Mahindra says that with its latest 2018 Euro 5 version of the Genio the company is taking a no-nonsense approach that you can trust and afford.
The Euro 5 compliant diesel offers 88kW of power and 280Nm of torque from the 2.2-litre four-cylinder intercooled turbo-diesel and comes with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra is claiming improved fuel economy of 7.5 litres/100km for the single cab 4x2 and 8.1 litres/100km for the dual cab on the ADR 81/02 combined fuel cycle. That theoretically gives over 900km range from the 74-litre tank on the single cab.
On the electronics front, the Mahindra Genio has electronic stability control (Bosch Generation 9), hill ascent/descent control with roll over mitigation and selectable start/stop feature.
The Genio offers a 1.2 tonne payload, 2.7 metre tray on the Single Cab and a 1.8 tonne braked tow capacity.
The Single Cab Turbo Diesel 4x2 with base H.D.A tray is available for $21,990 drive away while the Dual Cab Turbo Diesel 4x2 configuration cab/chassis will set you back $25,490.
The Genio comes with a three-year/100,000km warranty with three-year roadside assist and three-year capped price servicing.
