McCormick G–Max tractors land in Oz

Redesigned range available in outputs of up to 160hp

Italian made McCormick tractors has expanded its line-up in Australia with the addition of the mid-range G-Max series.

According to local distributor, Clark Equipment, the McCormick G-Max tractor range has been restyled and reinvented to offer farmers simplicity and performance in an affordable package.

There are two models in the range – the G-Max 135 with 135hp and G-Max 165 with 160hp. Both models feature Tier 3, 6-cylinder IVECO engines and an 18x18 shuttle transmission with 3-speed powershift.

“McCormick offers a lettered series which is the A-Max, T-Max, D-Max, and G-Max; so the G-Max currently sits at the top of our lettered range,” explained Clark Equipment National Product Manager, David Knoke.

“From there, we move on to our premium range - the X series which offers smoother transmissions, bigger cabs and some extra niceties.”

Some of the improved features on the G-Max include a sloping hood line and a new cab design that offer excellent visibility in all directions for whatever application, whether it be out-front mowing or front-end loading.

The G-Max series comes with three sets of hydraulic remotes as standard and a maximum flow rate of 125l/min. Lift capacity is 7000kg for the 135 and 8400kg for the 165.

The tractors come standard with a trainee seat in the cab as well as ergonomically placed controls for all tractor functions including PTO, hydraulics, loader work and more.

“It’s a high vis cabin, so you have great vision out of the cab for your front end loader so you can see when you’re loading and unloading,” Knoke said.

“It also comes radio ready. In general, it’s a very simple, very basic tractor.”

Pricing for the G-Max 135 with loader and 4-in-1 bucket starts from $108,000 plus GST.
