McHale Fusion 4 Plus baler wrapper now available

McHale’s most advanced baler range has arrived in Australia

Irish farm equipment brand, McHale, has announced the launch of its Fusion 4 Plus balers in Australia, available via distributor, PFG Australia.

The Fusion 4 Plus is the range-topping model in the Fusion 4 range which can apply film or net wrap to the barrel of the bale for optimum bale shape and density.

Most advanced pick-up

The new Fusion 4 range features McHale’s most advanced pick-up – the Profi-Flo- that has been designed to increase crop intake through more efficient crop flow.

The new tapered feed channel encourages the crop to flow from the pick-up, towards the rotor and into the bale chamber, maximising throughput. To reduce maintenance, all Profi-Flo pick-ups are fitted with a heavier driveline which reduces chain load and increases chain life.

In the Fusion 4 Plus, McHale has also introduced the Adaptive Intake which adjusts the intake area automatically to adapt to changes in material flow. With the feature, blockages are less likely to happen, hence reducing downtime for farmers.

The Fusion 4 Plus comes standard with a 25 knife-chopping unit.

All machines in the Fusion 4 range are equipped with a 540rpm gearbox as standard. In order to optimise machine performance, a 1000 rpm gearbox is available as an optional extra.

McHale's Fusion 4 Plus baler wrapper has a range of advanced features to improve productivity and silage quality

ISOBUS compatible

The McHale Fusion 4 Plus is fitted with ISOBUS as standard.

When connected to an ISOBUS compatible tractor, the McHale Fusion 4 Plus can be monitored and controlled via the tractor’s terminal. Operators can keep an eye on the baler's performance at all times through the tractor display.

For customers without an ISOBUS tractor, an optional ISO-PLAY 7 terminal can be used.

Film-on-film Binding

The McHale Fusion 4 Plus can be configured to only wrap the bales in plastic both within the chamber and outside on the wrapping table to provide a tight bind for better bale density and better silage quality.

The film which is applied to the barrel of the bale can be stretched according to the manufacturers recommendations which is a higher ratio than can be achieved with net wrap. This expels more air, thus resulting in better silage quality.

Another benefit of using just plastic film to bind the bales together is the ease of removal and recycling. After removing the wrap, farmers are only left with one form of waste to recycle and do not have to worry about separating net from plastic.

Patented Bale Transfer

The McHale Fusion 4 Plus also features a patented bale transfer system.

When the bale is bound in the bale chamber, the bale chamber splits horizontally. As the top section of the bale chamber moves up, the lower section of the bale chamber simultaneously moves up and out, transferring the bale onto the wrapping platform.

New lighting

New Panel Lighting has also been added to the McHale Fusion 4 Plus to aid the operators when changing rolls of film when it is dark.

These lights are neatly fitted underneath the side panels of the machines and can be switched on or off from the control console or the rear keypad on the machine.

The McHale Fusion 4 Plus baler wrappers are now available in Australia via PFG Australia’s dealership network.
