McIntosh & Son demo day coming up

Hop in the cab of a Versatile tractor or drive the Seed Storm seeder for yourself at upcoming demo event in Nungarin, WA

The bright yellow Seed Storm heavy duty seeding bar was developed by WA-based manufacturer, Duraquip, and was released mid last year after months of rigorous testing.

The machine will be one of the key highlights of heavy equipment distributor, McIntosh & Son’s Machinery Field Day, to be held in the rural town of Nungarin in Western Australia on June 22.

Locally developed Seed Storm seeding bar is one of an array of machinery available for demo at McIntosh & Son's Machinery Field Day

Hosted by the Merredin branch, growers can join the McIntosh & Son team along with product specialists from 10am on the day at Nangeenan North Road, Nungarin, to look at and try out a host of machinery including the Seed Storm, Miller sprayers, as well as tractors by New Holland and Versatile.

“The Seed Storm has been designed to dig tough Aussie soil and they perform well, the way they function and operate is very impressive,” said McIntosh & Son Merredin sales rep, Corey Harken.

“We’re expecting it will be the drawcard for the event and are really excited for growers to come and see what it can do.”

In addition to the Seed Storm, farmers can also expect to see demonstrations of a range of other machinery at the event including the Versatile 520 DeltaTrack tractor, New Holland T8.350 tractor with PLMi, Gessner 6011 Deep Ripper, Stoll S10 Boomspray, and the new AgriSpread 2150 spreader.

Alongside the demonstrations will be a machinery display consisting of Miller self-propelled sprayers, a Morris seeding rig, Highline rockpickers, the Weedseeker 2 spot spraying system and the Harrington Seed Destructor. Growers can also expect to see machinery from Challenger, MacDon, LiuGong and Merlo in the field.

“The field days give growers a chance to get a feel for the machinery that’s on their wish list, and to talk to equipment specialists who can provide detailed answers to their questions,” Harken said.

He added it is critical to order stock early with global supply issues heavily delaying lead times.

“It has never been more important to order early than right now, so if you are looking at new machinery, this event is a great opportunity to get a thorough look at a huge range, all in one location.”

The demos will be followed by refreshments and delicious beef and gravy rolls. Attendees also stand a chance to win an Engel fridge.
