Miller Nitro 7000 series SP sprayers touch down

Latest additions feature more powerful engines and new cabins with improved functionality and comfort

Sprayer manufacturer Miller Nitro has officially launched its latest 7000 series self-propelled sprayers at a dealer event in Perth in December last year via its local distributor, McIntosh Distribution.

The new front mounted units are the 7420 with 434 peak horsepower and the 7380 with 383 peak horsepower, replacing the 6333 and 6365 models respectively.

According to McIntosh Distribution's Jonathan Bent, the Nitro 7000 Series offers significant increases in both horsepower and torque via its IVECO power plant, along with the benefit of better fuel efficiency.

“We are very excited about the release of the 7000 Series and we think growers will appreciate the range of features available on these models,” he said.

“We’re building on the feature set that we had with the 6000 Series, which gave us performance and reliability, better fuel economy and a focus on the operator environment, as well as functionality.”

The new 7000 series features a 6100-litre tank and a wide range of boom options including the Miller Spray-Air system, which is available on booms up to 36m.

The 7000 series is fitted with an innovative hydrostatic Danfoss pump system featuring electronically-controlled variable displacement piston drive motors and integrated Fairfield Torque-Hub planetary final drives for an optimum drive performance.

The drive motors supply greater torque at all speeds, while the weight distribution has been carefully designed to ensure it remains within four per cent of 50:50 balance during spraying.

The cabin offers enhanced panoramic visibility and user experience with two chassis and spraying monitoring screens available in the cab.

Automated filling and rinsing controls are a standard inclusion, with a 7.5cm (3-inch) fill meter for maximum filling efficiency.

“The auto rinse and fill function is the perfect example of how the 7000 Series has been designed to maximise productivity for the operator,” Bent said.

“We have a very good product in the 6000 Series and we are proud to have the opportunity to present an even stronger product to the Australian market with these new models.”
