Case IH has expanded its well-known Farmall compact utility tractor range with the launch of the JXM series, complementing the existing Farmall B, JX, C and U Series in the Australian and New Zealand market.
The Farmall JXM will offer a 75hp and 90hp option to meet the needs of hobby farmers and the leisure market.
“The Farmall JXM has the power and performance Farmall owners have come to expect, but in a very cost-effective package,” said Case IH Australia and New Zealand Mid-Horsepower and Compact Tractors Product Manager, Seamus McCarthy.
“It’s suited to all types of farming businesses, whether it be as the hard-working utility tractor in a bigger operation, or the go-to machine in a smaller farm business.
“We think it will also prove popular with local councils looking for a smaller tractor to add to their fleet that’s up to carrying out multiple tasks with maximum efficiency and a minimum of fuss.”
The Case IH Farmall JXM is powered by a 2.9/3.9 L turbocharged and intercooled 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder Tier 3 engines by FPT. It comes with an air filter engineered to deal with dusty conditions, and a pre-cleaner system that increases the life of the air filter for reduced maintenance and operating costs.
A wide choice of transmission options are available with the Farmall JXM - 12x12 mechanical synchroshuttle, 20x20 mechanical synchroshuttle with creeper options or a 24x24 mechanical synchroshuttle with splitter.
It also features a 60l/min open-centre hydraulic system and a robust rear 3-point hitch capable of lifting and handling implements of up to 2500kg.
Case IH said the operator’s station has been designed ergonomically for greater operator comfort and features a comprehensive instrument panel.
According to McCarthy, the Farmall JXM stood apart from the C, U and JX models because it offered value and productivity benefits across broad applications, but with a more basic operator interface.
“The Farmall B provides these same value and productivity advantages, however the JXM extends these benefits up to 90hp.”
The Farmall JXM will be officially launched at the AgQuip field days scheduled to run from August 21 to 23, 2018. Orders for the new tractor can be placed immediately with deliveries expected to commence early 2019.
“We think there’ll be a lot of interest in this tractor, with its heavy-duty, compact frame, durable components and plenty of power. It’s great to operate and you know it will get the job done - first time, every time.”
In addition to the Farmall JXM, Case IH will also be launching its new cloud-based farm management tool, ClearVu, at AgQuip 2018.
The tool is part of Case IH’s Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) precision agriculture suite and is the result of several years of planning, design and field testing.
Case IH will be at site M-N/21-25 at this year’s AgQuip field days.
