New compact workhorses by Branson

The Korean brand's new line-up sits at the top end of the compact tractor category

Korean ag-machinery company Branson has launched a new 60hp tractor series in Australia via its Queensland-based distributor, Midway Sales.

Weighing in at over 1740kg excluding loader, the 6225 series comes in four variants to suit different needs and applications.

The two baseline models are fitted with a ROPS platform with shuttle shift or hydro transmissions. Customers wanting protection from the elements can opt for the cab models, with choices of shuttle or hydro transmission.

A cast-iron rear end and transmission housing provide the 6625 range with good ballasting for maximum traction. The range is powered by a 2.3-litre turbo-charged engine.

All models are factory fitted with Ansung front-end loaders as standard. The multi-purpose four-in-one bucket allows for blading, levelling, scooping and grabbing, and is self-levelling for a safer operation. It is controlled by a single-lever, push-button joystick.

A quick-release function easily removes the bucket or entire loader when they're not required. Operators can then install a range of other attachments including forks, bale handler or auger driver in their place as needed.

Customers can opt to install a backhoe loader with their 6625 tractor if required.

A key feature of the new range, according to Branson, is its tight turning radius, which the company says delivers excellent manoeuvrability.

In the operator station, Branson has installed a vibration-absorbing, high-back suspension seat and ergonomic controls. Four-wheel drive with an easy-shift lever is standard for enhanced traction and control.

Cabin models come with heating and air conditioning, a CD FM/AM radio and excellent cabin visibility.

The range features an independent electric two-speed PTO and two sets of hydraulic remotes.

The category 2, three-point-linkage is capable of handling 1500kg while the hydraulic pump gives a flow rate of 42lt/min to control hydraulic implements including front-end and backhoe loaders.

The tractors' fuel tank has an accessible side-mounted fill point for easier filling. A pop-up bonnet makes engine access easier for regular maintenance.

The 6625 series features powerful front and rear work lights for ease of operation after dark. A set of agricultural tyres come standard with the range, with industrial and turf tyres available as options.

Branson is offering a four-year manufacturer's warranty with the 6625 range of compact tractors. Pricing for the series starts from $33,990 including GST (with four-in-one front-end loader).
