New Holland completes Kongskilde acquisition

Kongskilde ag division takeover by CNH Industrial effective from February 1, 2017

Following its initial announcement in October 2016, New Holland Agriculture has finalised its acquisition of the agricultural business of Kongskilde Industries, which is part of the Danish Group Dansk Landbrugs Grovvareselskab.

As part of the venture, Kongskilde's two plants in Europe, located in Poland and Sweden, as well as other facilities in the EMEA, APAC and NAFTA regions, will be taken over by New Holland's parent company, CNH Industrial on February 1, 2017.

The acquisition means New Holland will be expanding its hay, tillage and seeding offerings to include equipment of various brands under the Kongskilde umbrella, including JF, Kongskilde, Överum and Howard.

"This is an important step in our strategy to provide our customers around the world innovative and complete solutions to their farming needs," says New Holland Agriculture Brand President, Carlo Lambro.

"We are creating a strong global platform that will provide growth opportunities for the Kongskilde and New Holland Agriculture brands."

According to CNH Industrial, Kongskilde's network of dealers and importers will continue to operate as usual and will be providing continuous customer support in the wake of the takeover.

New Holland will gradually integrate Kongskilde's line of agricultural implements into its own product offering.
