New Holland debuts new T4 specialty tractor

Unveiled at AgQuip 2023, the New Holland T4.120F boasts a premium, spacious cab and Stage V emissions compliance

Global ag giant New Holland has pulled the covers off its new T4 family of specialty tractors, with this T4.120F making its public debut at the recent AgQuip 2023 field days event at Gunnedah, NSW.

Billed by New Holland as a premium specialty tractor range honed for applications such as vineyard or orchard work, the T4 range is powered by the latest Stage V emissions-compliant engines and comes with an array of productivity-enhancing features and upgrades.

A highlight of the New Holland T4.120F on display at AgQuip is its voluminous fully enclosed cab, which boasts a flat floor instead of the usual transmission tunnel to give operators even more legroom and comfort.

Spraying is of course a prime application for a tractor like this, and so the T4.120F comes equipped with the most advanced carbon filtration technology.

“The filtration level is Level Four, which is the best there is,” says New Holland’s Mark Crakanthorpe. “So it doesn’t necessitate any breathing apparatuses or other protection that needs to be worn in the cab. It runs a carbon filter to clean the air and it’s got a premium air-conditioning system.”

Add in the new lower and narrower bonnet for enhanced vision and the New Holland T4.120F provides operators with unparalleled comfort, helping prevent fatigue and therefore enhance productivity and safety over long hours at the wheel.

The powerful 120hp engine of the tractor on display is mated with a 32 x 16 Split Command transmission, with a creeper gear to complement high and low range. The tractor has a 100-litre fuel capacity.

Premium remotes allow various calibrations and hydraulic functions to be electronically set, making light work of headland turns, for example. And while the F-series tractor on show was fitted with a standard axle, a suspended axle is also available to take undulating terrain or rougher conditions in its stride.

Meanwhile, New Holland’s proprietary SuperSteer front axle delivers an ultra-sharp turning circle that is unmatched in the segment, the company says.

An availability date is yet to be announced for the new T4 range; see your nearest New Holland dealer for more information.
