New Holland rolls out “most powerful CVT tractors on the market"

New Holland has introduced its Auto Command Continuously Variable Transmission in its flagship T9 Series tractors with power ranging from 450hp to 615hp.

The company claims the new series is now the largest horsepower offering in the market with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) technology.

Four models – three agricultural and one scraper, will be introduced in Australia.

“The T9 Auto Command is ideal for the more demanding customers who require an all-round performance from their high powered tractor,” says New Holland Head of the Tractor product line, Sean Lennon.

“Cash crop farmers will appreciate its powerful performance in PTO applications such as grain cart and large planters. Large dairy and livestock operations will find handling silage packing and haulage operations much easier with the Auto Command transmission.

“Intuitive and easy to operate, this multiple use tractor brings high quality and reliability to large scale, professional farming operations.”

The Auto Command transmission automatically adjusts engine power and ground speed for maximum productivity to match the requirements of the application, whether in heavy, light or variable draft work. In transport, the tractor can achieve up to 40km/h road speed.

Four points of optimised efficiency where the transmission drives through a full mechanical connection have been engineered to match the most frequently used speeds during draft work, secondary cultivation activities, high speed in-field work and transport activities.

Automated efficiency features allow the operator to simply dial in the desired working speed and the T9 will do the rest, optimising its engine speed to reduce fuel consumption automatically.

Auto Command also offers the advanced Active StopStart safety feature that prevents the tractor moving backwards or forwards when it is brought to a standstill on a gradient, even with a heavy load.

A PTO mode ensures that shaft speed is maintained through varying load conditions while the Cruise mode will take the T9 up to the target speed at the push of a button, ideal for haulage work.

The fully integrated IntelliSteer auto-guidance system further maximises productivity and efficiency by enabling parallel pass-to-pass accuracy as precise as one to two cm. The PLM Connect telematics allows close monitoring of the tractor’s performance from the comfort of the office.

The SideWinder II armrest with fully integrated IntelliView IV ultra wide colour touchscreen and CommandGrip multifunction handle offer a comfortable and easy operation.
