New Nobili mulcher makes debut

Side delivery mulcher caters to vineyard operations

Silvan Australia, distributor of the Nobili brand of farm implements in the country, has announced the launch of the Nobili BNU145 CL mulcher designed to handle demanding vineyard tasks.

The Italian-made side delivery mulcher is used to mulch grass and green prunings and distribute the organic material into rows of up to 90mm in diameter.

It has a 1.5m working width and has been designed to work with tractors up to 125 horsepower with a Cat II three point linkage.

The Nobili BNU145 CL mulches material using a combination of 16 heavy duty cast hammers and mulching bar, and then feeds the material to a pair of lateral conveyors that distribute the mulch under the vines. An optional hydraulic adjustment of the conveyor chute caters for vineyards with variable row widths.

The working height is adjustable by the skids or an optional pair of rear wheels.

The new mulcher was featured in Silvan Agripower’s eight-page Spring Machinery catalogue out this month, among a line-up of other farm machinery including Breviglieri rotary hoes and power harrows, Sitrex hayrakes, a range of fertiliser spreaders and Silvan slashers.
