Leading Case IH dealership group, O’Connors, has further strengthened its presence in the Australian agricultural machinery industry by acquiring two Agrimac premises in Victoria – in Ballarat and St Arnaud.
According to O’Connors Chief Executive Officer, Gareth Webb, the business has been looking for further growth opportunities following the franchise’s successful expansion into NSW Central West region a couple of years ago, and thought Agrimac’s locations in Ballarat and St Arnaud present a perfect fit.
“O’Connors is a family business built upon great customer relationships, commitment to service, knowledge of the industry and fifty-seven years of experience,” he said.
“The acquisition of the Agrimac Case IH dealerships is a great opportunity to extend our footprint into a diverse agricultural region, combining our experience with the knowledge that is already in the Ballarat and St Arnaud business.
“O’Connors is looking forward to the challenge of entering a new market and we are excited to be able to bring the region the strength and customer benefits a larger dealership network provides.”
The acquisition takes O’Connors’ footprint in the country from ten to twelve locations. O’Connors currently has branches across three states, in Birchip, Warracknabeal, Horsham, Shepparton, Bordertown, Corowa, West Wyalong, Condobolin, Forbes and Grenfell.
The finalisation of the Agrimac deal is anticipated to be by June 1, 2021.
Current Agrimac Dealer Principal, Hugh McEachern, will continue to own and operate Agrimac’s Warrnambool and Hamilton dealership branches.
