Machinery distributor, PFG Australia, has announced an extension to its partnership with tractor specialist, Versatile, which will see Versatile’s machines, including its 4WD, FWA and DeltaTrack tractors, continue being offered to farmers in Australia and New Zealand.
The contract is for five years with the option for a five-year extension, with production volumes and expansion of the current portfolio. Shipments of all models will recommence later in 2023.
The move comes after Versatile, owned by Canadian-based Buhler Industries, initially announced in 2022 that it is halting exports beyond North America. However, in late December 2022, Buhler Versatile and PFG Australia agreed to continue working together to offer Versatile’s equipment to customers in Australia and New Zealand.
“This is a genuine breakthrough,” said PFG’s Ag Division General Manager, Doug Robinson.
“Our ties with Versatile go back more than 20 years and we have built long-standing relationships with our customers and dealer network.
“Not only can we satisfy orders, but we also have an extended distribution contract and access to new models.”

PFG’s Chief Executive Officer, Justin Whitford, said Versatile tractors are very much in demand in the region, and the distributorship extension is welcome news.
“We’ve invested heavily in the Versatile brand, training and servicing and growing the dealer network,” he said.
“Versatile tractors are very much in demand here and our priority is to meet that demand. With confidence, we can now fulfil existing orders and maintain and grow that supply from this point on.”
Buhler Versatile specialises in high-horsepower tractors, manufacturing 320 and 400hp front-wheel assist tractors, 4x4 models from 425hp to 620hp, and the DeltaTrack tractors.
