Polaris unveils single seat UTV for young riders

The new ACE 150 EFI is modelled on the popular Ace family of ATV-sized vehicles, but directed at children 10 years and over

Polaris has launched the single-seat Polaris ACE 150 EFI, the industry’s first single-seat youth off-road model with a protective cab frame.

Modelled on the single-seat ATV-sized ACE vehicles currently on sale in Australia (review here) with protective cages, the new ACE 150 EFI is pitched at children 10 years and older.

“The ACE has been an outstanding success with Australian farmers and Polaris continues to innovate its youth line up to provide a wide variety of fun options for kids with great safety technology”, says Polaris Australia Country Manager for Off-Road Vehicles, Alan Collins.

“In youth models with a protective cage, our range has been limited to our popular two-seat RZR 170. The addition of a single seat model provides a new dimension for families to engage with their kids in this fun sport."

The 150cc fuel-injected engine in the ACE 150 has four speed-limit modes. Standard from the factory is limited to 16km/h. Adults are then able to adjust the top speed to 24, 35 or 47km/h as skills develop.

Other safety features include LED daytime running lights, a seat belt, side nets, whip flag and parking brake. Additionally, the vehicle comes with a DVD explaining safe operation and an approved helmet to reinforce the importance of wearing proper safety gear.

The ACE 150 EFI offers a large ergonomic range of adjustability, including tilt steering wheel and pedals and an adjustable bucket seat.

The machine has 152mm of rear suspension travel, 229mm of ground clearance, and large 22-inch tyres.

For added customisation, the ACE 150 EFI can be accessorised with poly roof, half-windshield and front and rear bumpers.

Colour is Indy Red, and it will go on sale locally in April 2017. It joins the RZR170 EFI, Outlaw and Sportsman 110 EFI, and Outlaw 50 as part of Polaris' youth lineup.
