Polaris unveils tempting ATV trade-in offer

Customers can get $2000 off a new Polaris ACE or Ranger SSV when they trade in their old quad bike

To help farmers off their old quad and on to a newer, safer side-by-side vehicle (SSV), Polaris is offering a $2000 trade-in on all ATV makes and models, providing they are over 225cc and in reasonable running order.

This trade-in applies if farmers are purchasing one of Polaris' Ranger or single-seater, ROPS-equipped ACE SSVs.

Polaris says it hopes the offer will make SSVs more affordable for farmers and provide an engineered ROPS alternative, as opposed to fitting crush protection devices to ATVs.

There are currently 23 models in the Polaris SSV line-up, all with ROPS and other safety features. These include three-point seat-belts with an interlock device that limits speed when the seat belt is unsecured; SpeedKey speed limiting device; Engine Braking System with 4-Wheel Descent Control and side nets.

Seating configurations start with the single-seat ACE, which is rated to carry 261kg and has a towing capacity of 680kg.

The Ranger series of utility vehicles covers a wide range of configurations, from two to six seats, petrol to electric and from two-wheel drive to all-wheel drive plus un-locking rear diffs for turf-friendly performance.

The $2000 minimum trade-in offer applies to any brand of ATV larger than 225cc but excludes Youth models.

The offer is valid until the end of September 2016.
