Kubota's new M7-1 range of tractors is now available, with the M7-131, M7-151 and M7-171 spanning power outputs of 130hp to 170hp.
The three models are the most powerful Kubota models yet, and will open up new horizons for the country in this market.
The range was previewed to dealers at a dealer conference in early 2016 as well as to the general public at several field days.
The launch is part of the company's global strategy to expand into new markets and position Kubota to compete with other big players in the field.
Instead of simply bulking up its current range, Kubota says it has designed the M7-1 Series from the ground up to offer more power, more advanced engine technology, a new closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system, a larger cab, and new precision farming technology.
"Kubota is always looking forward, increasing our competitive know-how and expanding our product offerings to meet the demands of our current and prospective customer base," says Kubota General Manager Marketing and Sales, Malcolm Owens.
"With the M7-1 Series, we are bringing more than 40 years of engineering prowess to the field with a built-from-the-ground-up machine, designed with intuitive technology that makes precision farming possible for Kubota customers."
Power for the M7-1 comes from a V6108 Kubota turbocharged diesel engine with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology.
Kubota says the engine employs a common rail injection system for excellent efficiency and economy, while the diesel particulate filter and other controls see the unit exceed Tier 4 emissions regulations.
"For the M7-1 Series, we created an exceptionally clean-running yet uncompromisingly powerful mid-range agricultural tractor," Owens says.
Transmission on the new models come in the form of a 24 x 24 speed semi-powershift or the Kubota Variable Transmission (KVT), which the brand says provides an infinite number of forward and reverse speeds to allow for a wide variety of jobs.
In addition, the KVT transmission features dynamic braking, or engine-assisted deceleration, to help maintain control and a constant traveling speed on descending slopes.
An optional front suspension helps ensure stable and precise operation, says Kubota, allowing the tractor to keep power to the ground and maintain proper traction during changing soil and terrain conditions.
The Kubota M7-1 Series comes standard with the LM2605 mechanical self-levelling front end loader, which can be attached or detached using Kubota's quick coupler.
A four-speed live-independent PTO with power ranging from 102 to 142hp gives operators the ability to utilise the tractors with a wide range of rear-mounted implements. A front PTO is available as an option, allowing operators to run two PTO implements at the same time.
With its foray into the commercial livestock, row crop and hay market, Kubota says it has significantly invested in technologies to introduce precision farming to its customers in a user-friendly form.
Available on the premium and KVT models, the precision farming system includes an all-in-one ISOBUS management system with optional auto guidance.
A touch-screen monitor allows the control of all operating functions from the one screen. A headland management system is also available to enable fully automated operations.
Kubota has installed a wider and quieter cab on the M7-1 range, with a choice of mechanical or air ride suspension systems to keep operators comfortable during long days of work out in the field.
The cab's four-pillar design gives operators unobstructed views out the front, rear and sides, says Kubota, allowing them to execute their tasks safely and confidently.
Pricing for Kubota's M7-1 range starts from $129,000 (excluding GST) for the M7-131 standard model.
