For the first time ever, the Norco Primex field days, now in its 38th year, will be held in the Australian summer from November 10 to 12, 2022.
The event, traditionally held in May, was postponed earlier this year due to flooding and adverse weather during that time, which was affecting the event’s site in Casino, NSW.
Primex was one of the few lucky field days which went ahead in 2021, and was able to attract almost 300 exhibitors and about 25,000 visitors across the three days.
This year, organisers are expecting over 400 exhibitors and 1000 suppliers to participate in 2022’s event.

Primex director, Bruce Wright, said he understood the importance of the show to the region and the 400-plus businesses that benefitted from the event being held. His goal is to achieve full capacity and end 2022 with an event that will showcase and support the local community and its primary industries.
“Almost $5 million will be injected immediately into the region’s economy, and we expect more than $47 million in sales generated by the event over the three days,” he said.
“With many businesses, farmers, regional communities, charities, and support groups reliant on the delivery of a successful Primex, we are looking forward to improved weather conditions and enhanced development of the event programs and exhibitor participation.”
In addition to farm machinery, the field days will also feature a wide range of construction and earthmoving machinery to cater to contractors and earthmoving business owners and operators in northern NSW.
Another key attraction of the field days will be the Nourish Food & Drink program which aims to celebrate the region’s produce. There will be cooking demonstrations; food, wine and craft beer tastings; cookery and butchery workshops and live entertainment.
The program will also see world-class chefs such as Darren Robertson from the Three Blue Ducks and Masterchef Australia contestant, Mindy Woods, take to the stage to hold cooking demonstrations and masterclasses.
